Troubleshooting
Recording or location does not work
Open your device's Settings > Topofon and check Microphone and Location permissions. If your position appears as a large circle, enable Precise Location under Location. Finding your location indoors can take longer or be less accurate. You can also set a log's location on its map.
Weather is empty
Weather needs an internet connection and a location. Check both. If weather cannot be found, you can enter the observations yourself in the log.
An external drive is unavailable
Connect the drive selected as the recording location. To add it again, open Topofon Settings > Storage > Add external storage and choose the drive itself, not a folder. Existing logs keep their original storage location. If a drive is disconnected or fills up while recording, that recording is not saved; the existing log stays as it was.
Apple Watch cannot reach iPhone
Keep the paired iPhone nearby with Topofon installed. Open Topofon on iPhone and try the command again from Apple Watch. The watch controls the recorder on iPhone; it does not record audio by itself.
Monitoring is silent
Connect headphones or an external output. Topofon does not monitor through the iPhone speaker.
The Transcript row is missing
The row appears only on supported devices in logs that contain audio. The first transcription in a language may need an internet connection to download its speech model from Apple.
